The UPS Foundation recently awarded another $150,000 to the American Indian College Fund to continue the UPS Foundation Tribal College Scholarship Program.  For the past 14 years, the UPS Foundation has been working with the American Indian College Fund to provide scholarships to students attending the nation’s tribal colleges and universities.  This latest grant from the UPS Foundation will provide a $2,250 scholarship for one student at each of the Tribal Colleges and Universities for both the upcoming fall and spring semesters of 2012.

Since its inception in 1907, UPS has prided itself on giving back to the community and providing long-term solutions to community needs.  The UPS Foundation, founded in 1951, recently celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2011, and is responsible for facilitating community involvement to local, national, and global communities.  To learn more about the UPS Foundation, please visit their website at www.ups.com/foundation.

The American Indian College Fund is the nation’s largest private provider of scholarships for American Indian students.  Every year an average of 6,000 scholarships are awarded by the American Indian College Fund to students seeking to better their lives through higher education.  Through generous donations such as the one recently provided by the UPS Foundation, the American Indian College Fund is able to improve the lives of American Indian students as well as their communities by providing these college scholarships.  To learn more about the American Indian College Fund and the various scholarship opportunities they offer, please visit www.collegefund.org.
