The Marlborough Rotary Club recently announced that it will be giving away five $1,000 college scholarships to graduating high school seniors.  In addition the $1,000 scholarships, the Rotary Club will also be awarding one $250 grant that will be awarded to a vocational student with the sole purpose of being used to by the specific tools that student needs to complete his or her vocational degree.

While the Marlborough Rotary Club will be handing out five scholarships there are some stipulations with the way these scholarships will be awarded.  Two of the $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Marlborough High School students.  Another scholarship will be set aside for a student graduating from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School.  The other two scholarships will not have any restrictions on them, and can be awarded to any students residing in Marlborough.  The scholarships will be used to pay part of the student’s tuition at accredited colleges and universities.

Any students that attend Marlborough High School and Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School and are interested in applying for this scholarship are encouraged to see their high school guidance counselor.  Applications can also be found online at the Marlborough Rotary Club’s website.

This scholarship program through the Marlborough Rotary Club is a good reminder for students looking to scholarship opportunities to scour their local community for any scholarship programs.  Many times the businesses and organizations within your community offer the best college scholarship chances.
