Linfield Adult Degree Program recently announced it will be making its Path to Scholarships workshops available as a service to students who apply to either Linfield College’s bachelor’s degree program or professional certificate programs. The workshops will be held twice in the coming weeks for students looking to enroll at Linfield in the 2012 spring or summer semesters.
The Path to Scholarships workshops are led by Associate Director of Financial Aid at Linfield College, Gerardo Ochoa, and assist students looking to earn college scholarships to help fund their college education. At these workshops students will be given guidance to help them organize materials successfully, write winning scholarship essays, and conduct personalized scholarship searches. Many students that participate in these workshops see their success rate of receiving a college scholarship increase. On average students attending the workshops have earned $6,000 in scholarships.
With so many students regardless of age and economic background finding it challenging to pay for their college education, scholarships offer these bright students an alternative to their financial woes. The best way to help students earn a college scholarship is to assist each one individually with the scholarship application process to ensure that they convey their personal stories of triumph effectively through their scholarships. This is exactly what the Path to Scholarships program attempts to do. By working individually with each student who enrolls in the program, Path to Scholarships has a much more effective track record when it comes to its students earning college scholarships.
Students interested in taking part in one of the upcoming workshops will need to act fast as the first workshop will be held January 28, 2012 at the Linfield College campus in Portland, Oregon. The second workshop will be a webinar held online on February 4, 2012. Registration forms can be found online here and then submitted via fax to 503-883-2369 or email attachment to dce@linfield.edu.
