The Canton Community Foundation recently announced it is now accepting applications for its annual college scholarships available to Plymouth and Canton students. The scholarship program is one of the most successful aspects of the foundation. Over the past twenty years, the Canton Community Foundation has awarded $521,000 in college scholarships to 504 students.
The Canton Community Foundation has long believed in improving the education of students within its community. As college education costs continue to arise, the foundation is proud to continue its successful scholarship program and offer students a chance to earn their college education that otherwise might not have had the opportunity due to the poor economic conditions.
Interested students can find an application on the foundation’s website at www.cantonfoundation.org. Applications must be turned in to the foundation’s offices at 50430 School House Road, Suite 200, Canton, MI by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 9th, 2012. All types of students are encouraged to apply for these scholarships as the foundation awards scholarships to students of all ages and in varying stages of their academic careers. The only main requirement to receive one of these scholarships is that each student must be a resident of Plymouth or Canton.
