Alternative Programs
Alternative programs help students prepare themselves for specific occupations that are not traditionally offered at four year universities or online colleges. Alternative programs might include subjects like Animal Training, which might be covered sparingly in a Veterinary School, but would require focused training at a alternative program.

These instructors will have the knowledge of having practiced the lessons they are teaching in real world scenarios as their full-time occupation. Similar to trade schools, alternative programs provide you with the education that would be difficult to find unless you had personal acquaintances in the industry or have been part of an apprenticeship.
A good thing to do when finding an alternative program you wish to study at is looking at the background of the school’s instructors, seeing if the program will lead to certification in the field you desire, and possibly even researching with current people in the workforce to see where they got their certification from.
